SAUNA SAFETY RULES

PLEASE READ BEFORE USE

·      Max 8 people in sauna (except private bookings)

·      All users must sit on a towel

·      Max 20 minutes per round

·      New users: start with short times

·      Do not touch stove or add fuel

·      Remove metal jewellery

·      Stand up slowly

·      No phones/tablets in the sauna

LEAVE IMMEDIATELY IF YOU FEEL UNWELL AND ALERT A MEMBER OF STAFF

Cold water immersion

·      Enter slowly & under control

·      No jumping or diving

·      Avoid full head immersion in temps under 15C

·      Swim within your capabilities

·      Identify your exit before entering

  • Take a movement break to warm up before re-entering sauna.

Important health warning

Do NOT participate if you: - Are unwell - Are pregnant - Have heart or blood pressure conditions - Have consumed alcohol or drugs

Hydration and fainting risk

·      Heat + cold causes fluid loss

·      Drink water before, during & after

·      Stand up slowly

·      Keep legs moving

Emergency info

·      Alert staff immediately

·      Call 999 in an emergency

·      Defibrillator: Swimming Hut
