Step into the heat
How To Book The Sauna
Swillington Wilds is a members-only swimming and sauna space set within the parkland of Swillington Farm.
Membership is required to access the site and book swim or sauna sessions.
Keeping the site membership-based allows us to manage numbers carefully and preserve the calm, natural atmosphere that makes the space special.
Each sauna session includes access to the lake, with time to swim or dip 30 minutes before and after, as well as during your session, so you can fully experience the contrast between heat and cold.
Swim & Sauna
Plunge into cold water, then warm through in the heat of the fire.
Our wood-fired lakeside sauna brings balance and ritual to wild swimming at Swillington. After time in the water, it offers a space to reheat slowly, connect with your breath, and rest.
The combination of cold and heat supports deep recovery, improves circulation and immunity, and leaves many people feeling clear-headed, calm and energised.
Please read our sauna safety rules before using the sauna.
The Benefits of Hot–Cold Therapy
Improves blood flow and cardiovascular resilience
Helps reduce inflammation and support muscle recovery
Regulates the nervous system and lowers stress
Encourages restful sleep and a stronger immune response
Alternating between cold and heat activates natural repair processes in the body, and helps you adapt to physical and mental challenges more easily over time.
You’ll find a growing body of research on contrast therapy – but many people simply come because of how it makes them feel.
Hot and cold therapy is not suitable for everyone. If you are not in good health, are pregnant, or have any concerns, please speak to a medical professional before taking part.
